Better-than-basic boots

I tried these on at our local outlet mall this weekend and liked them even more than I thought I would after just seeing them online. Between the almost-super-high heel and the nice pleating detail on the side, they had that little bit of oomph to make an otherwise really basic boot totally crush-worthy. If it weren't for the slightly narrow front and the resulting question of long-term comfort - not to mention the disapproving look from my husband at yet another pair of boots (hey, they're my favorite shoe! - and I don't actually have a brown heeled non-winter boot...) - I probably would have refused to go home without them. Which of course means I'm still daydreaming about them...
